A cardiothoracic surgeon is a surgical specialist for diseases of the circulatory system. They conduct tests on patients to determine any heart conditions that must be treated or require surgery. Additionally, they are responsible for monitoring the patients' heart conditions after the surgery and giving a prognosis. They are involved in the meeting of outpatient clinics meetings and ward rounds.
